DURANGO TOUR
All evidence suggests that the valley of Guadiana was inhabited by early human groups at least 10 thousand years before the Spanish conquistadors came and founded the city of Durango in the year 1563.The City , with its beautiful colnial down town center , was the religious capital of the province of Nueva Viscaya which included the territories of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Chihuahua and Durango until the year of 1823. It was also from Durango where the Jesuits priests that came with the Spanish started 16 missions in the state alone, and went on with their religious zeal to the states of what is now Chihuahua and Baja California..

BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR / WHALE WATCHING
The whales or cetaceans that we know today, are the result of 70,000,000 years of evolution, of a whale called Arqueocetos that although it was more a land mammal than a whale, it was a primitive cetacean that lived sometime around the Eocene Miocene era. Long before , who knows when, the ancestors of our whales had to come out of the ocean where they lived as amphibian mammals and afterwards because of their great size and eating necessities return back to the seas to be this arqueocetos, father sort of speak of the whales we know today. In our adventure we will visit the Gray Whale ( Eschrichtius robustus ) member of the order mysticetes or whales with out teeth, in its Mexican winter home, where it breeds and also calves after one of the longest migration of any other mammal, from the Artic seas of the North, to the Lagoons of Baja California.

TAYOLTITA PIAXTLA CANYON / Durango MTB
Characterized by its great canyons, The Sierra Madre in the state of Durango has more than 10 of them, that surpass 6000 feet in depth, and it is probably the county of San Dimas the best example of this. The canyons of Ventanas and Piaxtla that cross its boundaries, are impressive because of their depth and endless rock formations. In our adventure we will cross the most rugged part of the Sierra Madre going by the Huehuento mountain, that with its 3184mts (10,000ft.) above sea level is one of the highest points in the northwest of the Sierra Madre, from here the descent of the Piaxtla canyon has to be a cyclists dream.
